The Buffer Stop Café at Kirklees Light Railway has recently been refurbished with new décor, shabby chic tables, and a number of Trent Furniture’s popular Tolix style Bella Chairs.
Kirklees Light Railway is one of West Yorkshire’s most popular family visitor attractions. The home of Yorkshire’s Great Little Steam Trains offers visitors a traditional, fun family day out with rides on real steam engines through the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, children’s playgrounds, a café, tearoom, and special events throughout the year.
When it came to picking out new chairs for the venue, General Manager Erin Towey explains how they came to pick Trent Furniture for the job “after much research online, looking in particular for a good quality, reasonably priced Tolix-style chair, it was very apparent that Trent Furniture offered the best deal available. We needed the chairs to be delivered in a very tight time frame and Trent Furniture were able to accommodate our needs.”
The Tolix style chair has proved a popular choice for café, bars and even homes since it first appeared in the 1930s. Originating in France, the original design gained instant popularity with bistros and cafés and has remained a worldwide favourite thanks to its timeless design and durability.
The Bella Chair, which was chosen by the Kirklees Light Railway, is crafted using high-quality steel and precision welding to ensure it can stand up to even the most demanding hospitality environments. Rubber feet ensure the steel frame does not scratch flooring, whilst the design means it can be stacked 10 high for easy cleaning and storage.
