It's one of the UK’s most highly rating TV shows – watched by millions every week. And at the heart of the show is the Queen Vic. Now a pub as famous as that won't have just any old bar stool would it? So we are delighted to report that Trent Furniture are the suppliers of the bar stools to the Queen Vic.
That means that although you might not have realised it, but they are the bar stools used by the regulars to sit on whilst they catch up / break up / have an affair / get into a fight at the bar.
There is no getting away from it, the Queen Vic is at the heart of Walford and has seen many historical moments filmed in it over the 31 years of broadcasting on BBC One.
The centre of dramas, fights and love at first sights – the pub - has seen many landlords over the years. The first were Den and Angie Watts and since then the owners have included the Mitchells and the Moons. In 2013 the Carter family took over the Queen Vic, the introduction of the Carters has seen a refurbishment of the pub – and it included the new bar stools supplied by Trent Furniture. And a wise choice they were too.
Trent Furniture is sure that our bar stools will see lots of drama in the upcoming years in the pub. But let’s just hope that there won’t be any upcoming bar room brawls, as these study barstools aren’t going to break easily. So if somebody gets hit with one, it is certainly going to hurt.
The furniture can be seen often in the show which is aired four times a week. And if you don’t like them, in the words of Peggy Mitchell "Get out of my pub!"
