A village hall in Nottinghamshire has been restored and renovated into a modern venue. The hall’s committee completed the transformation by ordering new furniture from Trent to accompany the new surroundings.
As a charity, the hall had limited funds and were looking for furniture with the best quality at the most reasonable price. Amazingly some of the chairs at the hall were originals from when the hall was built in 1957 so there is no doubt that a refresh was needed.
After searching for the perfect village hall chairs, the South Muskham and Little Carlton committee eventually found Trent Furniture’s Buckingham chairs and Buckingham armchairs and ordered 80 and 20 of each respectively.
The new furniture and hall were revealed for the first time to the public at an event to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. A ‘strawberry tea party’ was organised and the chairs certainly played their part in making it a royal occasion. The sell-out event attracted over 100 locals and those in attendance were unquestionably pleased with the new village hall; one was so impressed that she donated over £300 to the village hall fund.
Hazel Hall, of the committee, commented: “Throughout the ordering process I have been in correspondence with Nikki. The quality of her customer service has been first class – nothing has been too much trouble. We would gladly recommend Trent Furniture for quality of both the product and customer service. On behalf of the committee I say thank you as a satisfied customer.”
The chairs no doubt added to the royal atmosphere occasion. The investment will now enable the hall to propose itself as a venue for special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries and birthdays making the chairs a worthwhile asset.
