Armed Forces Day is on June 29th, but it's already the perfect time to start booking banqueting furniture and applying for funding in order to have a street party or similar celebration of your own.
The Ministry of Defence is inviting people to apply for funding to help them to mark the day, with up to £10,000 available per application.
Councils, organisations and members of local communities can all apply for this assistance, with the caveat that at least half of the cash must be provided by the organisers.
In practice, while you might be unlikely to want to put £10,000 of your own money into such an event, the MoD says grants of a few hundred pounds are common each year.
Applicants have until March 29th to submit their requests for funding, and if you're in the Nottingham area you might particularly want to plan something, as that is where this year's formal festivities are centred.
If you are hoping to have a street party, suitable banqueting furniture can make a big difference to how smoothly your event goes.
Bringing household furniture outdoors is awkward, and it may not be weatherproof - and it's certainly unlikely that different households' furniture will match.
Invest in banqueting furniture and you can receive weatherproof, matching and stackable chairs and tables, putting a little extra polish on your party.
