While Christmas and New Year are out of the way, banqueting furniture is still needed as the Chinese New Year celebration begins on January 23rd.
The event officially lasts for 15 days - from the start of the traditional Chinese calendar year, until the Lantern Festival two weeks later.
In an ordinary year, the prospect of two weeks of partying could be enough to justify fresh investment in banqueting furniture.
However, in 2012, the Chinese zodiac enters the mightiest of its symbols, the legendary Year of the Dragon.
The Dragon is a sign of great importance, and is particularly relevant to anyone with big plans for the year ahead.
Superstition says that the Year of the Dragon is ideal for starting a family - so that banqueting furniture may be in demand at weddings as the year progresses.
New business ventures and social projects are also expected to succeed if started under the sign, although there are of course no guarantees.
Look out for Yan Yat on January 29th, as the seventh day is traditionally known as "everyone's birthday".
Banqueting furniture could be in particular demand in and around Chinese communities on this date, when popular culture considers that everybody is one year older, in terms of the lunar calendar.
