If London 2012 gave you good reason to set up your banqueting furniture, whether outdoors for street parties or indoors for more formal celebrations of Team GB's sporting achievements, then the success of the Rio 2016 Summer Olympics should be more than enough reason to do so again.
The Olympics were always going to bring to mind memories of hosting the Games on home soil last time around, but with the events taking place in South America this time, expectations from Team GB's competitors were perhaps not so high.
However, building on the legacy of London 2012, Team GB scored what is widely regarded as their best result ever, beating China to second place in the medals table behind only the USA.
This is despite the UK population of 64 million people being eclipsed by China's 1.3 billion and the USA's 319 million.
Officially the British team of 1908 performed better than 2016's cohort, but that was in the year when the Olympics were scheduled to be held in Rome, before being relocated to London following a catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius.
As a result, Britons were competing on home soil in that year, which generally confers an advantage - making 2016's performance so far from home all the more impressive.
With plenty to celebrate, the coming weeks or even months would be an ideal time to deck out the banqueting furniture for a patriotic street party in the late summer sun, or an indoor event as the weather turns cooler.
Sports clubs might want to consider a legacy-themed event, especially those with facilities suitable for an Olympic sport like swimming, cycling or tennis.
Banqueting furniture does not have to take up large amounts of storage space, with stackable chairs and folding tables that can be stored flat and upright.
However, it does give you the option in future of holding more events that cater for large numbers of people, for example around major holidays like Christmas, New Year's Eve and Easter.
And the next time Britain has cause for national celebration - whether it is a major sporting achievement, a Royal birth or wedding, or something else - you will have your banqueting furniture all ready to go.
