Whether you've bought all-new banqueting furniture for the New Year, added a few statement pieces to your existing furnishings, or you just want to keep your current chairs and tables looking at their best, these four banqueting furniture maintenance tips should help to avoid any knocks, splits and stains over the course of 2017.
Moving Banqueting Furniture
To move furniture safely and securely, invest in a chair or table trolley - we have a total of three to choose from, depending on your table type.
A chair trolley should work with most standard stacking chairs, allowing piles of around 8-10 chairs to be picked up and wheeled quickly and easily into position.
Table trolleys come in designs suitable for either round or rectangular tables, and like the chair trolley, they have a protective carpet covering on contact areas, to avoid scratches - perfect for our wooden topped American folding trestle tables.
Placing Banqueting Furniture
Once you're into position, stacking chairs can quickly be unloaded and laid out in rows - but you don't have to leave them freestanding where they can be knocked out of position or crash into each other as the crowds flock in.
Instead, invest in a plentiful supply of our banquet chair linking clips, which can be used on both the front and rear legs of adjacent chairs, or alternate between neighbouring pairs of front and rear legs for a more economical solution that is still reasonably robust.
Restoring Upholstery
The easiest way to restore the upholstery on your banqueting furniture can actually be to replace the seat pad, and we can supply replacement banquet seat pads.
We also have piped stool tops and button stool tops in a choice of fabrics, giving you an equally quick and easy way to freshen up the look of pub furniture.
Keeping It Clean
Finally, make sure you use proper Relay spray when cleaning down hard surfaces on your furniture, and especially on lacquered wood banqueting tables. Consider a plastic top folding table for incredibly easy maintenance.
Unlike some other cleaning fluids, Relay spray is designed to be gentle on lacquered surfaces, and will not leave the sticky, tacky, dull-looking residue you may find on banquet tables from general purpose cleaning products.
