Hotel furniture - in particular beds, bedroom items and general upholstery of chairs and sofas - could all help to drive growth in the furniture sector, despite the ongoing economic turbulence.
Beds, bedrooms and upholstery are all mentioned as possible growth areas for 2013 in a new Verdict Research report, partly thanks to the expansion of existing suppliers.
This is despite challenging economic conditions, with pricing pressures marking a return to upward price growth from many retailers who simply cannot afford to improve their offers any further.
Verdict Research predicts: "The overall market is set to return to growth in 2014 as the housing market returns to growth [and] shoppers are in a more stable financial situation."
For those planning on refreshing their hotel furniture, it means now could be the right time to do so, with retailers' prices likely to be at their lowest.
While many prices have been driven down by the need to compete for business in the challenging recent market, Verdict's forecast suggests this is unsustainable for the long term.
As such, those who buy hotel furniture in the next few months might be able to beat the upswing in the market, and dodge any coming price inflation as a result.
