You don't need a beach-front location for your guests to enjoy the view from reception, their room or the upstairs hallways, but you do need the right hotel furniture to make the most of any especially interesting outlooks.
At ground level, your reception area and other parts of the front of house are likely candidates for appealing views, if you're lucky enough that your hotel is located in a relatively picturesque setting, and regular hotel furniture like a leather sofa or tub chairs give guests somewhere to sit and take in that vista while waiting to check out, meet friends, or get picked up by a taxi.
But even in a city centre location, you might be surprised by what visitors from further afield will consider to be an interesting view, and giving them a place to look out across the rooftops can help to turn your location into more of a feature of their stay.
Again, it depends on what window space you have available, but wherever you have room in the corridors and a suitably positioned window, it's a good idea to add some hotel furniture - tub chairs are a great option here too as they can be quite compact, so as not to create an obstacle in your hallways.
Finally in your guest rooms, a leather sofa or armchair can be a welcome place for weary travellers to rest, without consigning them to spending their waking hours on the bed they will also be sleeping in.
You'll probably want to situate your sofa or leather armchair in a good position for watching TV, as this is what many guests will want to do, but of course you can reposition the TV slightly if it helps make the room work better.
In rooms with a view - whether of landscape or rooftops - consider whether you can arrange at least some of your seating so that it allows guests to easily look out the window instead of watching TV, and you might even find you save on electricity and face fewer complaints of noise disturbances between neighbouring rooms.
