Pub seating caters for a wide range of patrons, from young children to pensioners, and from regulars to designated drivers looking for a non-alcoholic beverage.
But the AA suggests that, while hotels and restaurants typically have a good range of non-alcoholic drinks, pubs sometimes do not - meaning they may be missing out on the chance to attract more drivers to their seats.
One way to get more alcohol-free customers into your pub seating could be to add a few festive mocktails to the menu - and the AA has some suggestions.
Christmas Fizz is a fairly simple recipe, combining ginger ale and soda water for a warming but refreshing winter blend.
Three Wise Men contains apple, orange and pineapple juices - all normal ingredients for any pub, but used together here as a festive fruit cup.
Citrus Santa is a sharp but satisfying blend of orange juice and bitter lemon, while Holly Wreath Refresher is a particularly seasonal mixture of apple and cranberry juice, topped up with lemonade.
"Hopefully these drinks will help to add a bit of festive cheer to those who are helping to keep our roads safer over Christmas," says AA president Edmund King.
And for pubs that find it difficult to attract drivers through their doors, they could provide some valuable menu additions to help fill more pub seating over Christmas and the New Year.
