What is social distancing furniture?

Our range of Social Distancing Furniture is a selection of tables and chairs that are smaller in size and more compact allowing you to create more space between your customers. Pubs, restaurants and cafes following the social distancing guidelines will need to keep the required distance between customers and tables with a small footprint and top size will make this much easier to achieve. Our tables come with round or square tops as small as 60cm. The central pedestal design of many of the tables in this range allow for chairs to fit comfortably under the table and take up less room than a traditional 4 leg table.

The Social Distancing Furniture range also includes a wide selection of tables and chairs suitable for use outside. The use of an outdoor area will increase the number of customers you can have at one time and having furniture in place will enable them to maintain social distancing.

Many of the indoor and outdoor chairs are stackable which means that when groups of the same family are dining in your pub or restaurant you can provide extra seating but for individuals and couples you can remove the extra seating and store it conveniently in a small space.

What are the best table layouts for social distancing?

One of the best ways to maintain social distancing in your pub or restaurant is to have smaller tables with plenty of distance between them. Opting for small sizes square tops on your tables means that you can create larger rectangular tables for members of the same family by pushing them together, but you can also separate them easily to create two tables for separate couples or groups. Small square tables are the most versatile option for this reason. Small round tables are also a great choice because they take up an even smaller area and can potentially be used to seat groups from 2 customers to 4 customers.
