The Cruising Association is a global members association with early 6000 members worldwide, all of whom sail or cruise on motor boats. The association provides support and aim to ensure members get the most out of cruising.
Members meet at rallies, seminars and social events all around the world. Their head office, the CA House, is found by the Limehouse Basin in London and is open to members to use for accommodation and to attend seminars and lectures.
It is for these seminars and lectures in London that the new furniture was needed. “Trent’s response time was quick, so we could easily discuss our requirements and if things changed, such as colour, they would promptly issue a new quote,” explains Stef Goodwin, admin coordinator at The Cruising Association. “They were easy to deal with and very pleasant both on the phone and via email.”
After receiving a sample Harrow stacking chair, the association decided to order a further 99 with black frames and tweed upholstery.
The Harrow chair was an obvious choice for what the association were looking for. The seating offers value for money for those who need to furnish a whole venue without sacrificing on style and durability.
The chairs provide the functionality and stackability needed whilst also offering a padded and customisable upholstery. “We had a few complaints about our old chairs being too uncomfortable and I am sure they will be very pleased with the new padded ones!” says Stef.
The association’s popular lectures and seminars take place between October and March so it is in these winter months that the new seating will be mainly used. Since being purchased, the chairs have so far been used as extra chairs in the restaurant and for small scale events. Being able to use the chairs in the restaurant area too shows the true flexibility of the seating.
