Bentwood Restaurant Chairs

Popular with a range of business types, including pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants, we stock a range of Bentwood chair designs, from the simple Slatback and Crossback, to the more elaborate Loopback and Fanback. You can choose from lighter or darker shades of wood and select from a wide variety of seat fabrics too.

Wooden Upholstered Dining Chairs

With Trent Furniture’s Bentwood chairs, you can keep it simple with a solid colour fabric or opt for a fancy pattern for the seat of the chair instead.  We can even upholster them with your very own fabric, if you need them to tie into your existing décor. We upholster everything at our Leicester warehouse and use only the best contract FR fabrics and upholstery foam.

Assembled Traditional Furniture

All of our Bentwood chairs come fully assembled, so there’s no need to put anything together when your order arrives. It’s not just the designs of these classic Bentwood chairs that will stand the test of time, the build quality is long-lasting too. All our furniture is FIRA tested so you know that it will keep your customers safe and comfortable during their stay.

What is a ‘Bentwood Chair’?

Bentwood furniture is made by wetting wood using a soaking or steaming process before bending it into curved shapes and letting it dry and harden. The chair designs in the Trent Furniture-Bentwood range are inspired by the famous Michael Thonet.  A skilled German furniture maker who started out carving his furniture from European Beechwood prior to discovering the methods of bending the wood to create curved patterns in the frames of the chairs and tables.

Are your Bentwood Chairs made in China?

No they aren’t. We only sell genuine European Beechwood Chairs that are made in Europe. They are all made using high quality solid timber and offer excellent value for money. We are able to offer such competitive prices because we have experience which is second to none and comes from supplying contract furniture in the UK for over 60 years.

Are the Bentwood Chairs made using timber from a sustainable source?

Yes! At Trent Furniture, we care about the environment and Bentwood Chairs are made from FSC certified Beech and come from sustainable sources.

Are your Bentwood Chairs suitable for contract use?

Yes. Our Bentwood Chairs are suitable for cafes, bars and restaurants. They are strong, solid chairs which have been designed to withstand heavy use in a busy commercial environment.

How strong are your Bentwood Chairs?

Very strong! All Trent Furniture Bentwood Chairs are made to a commercial standard and are suitable for use in all catering and hospitality venues as well as restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs. The Chairs have a one year warranty excluding general wear and tear but as they have been designed for contract use you can be assured that they will provide seating of a high quality for much longer.

Will each Bentwood Chair be identical and do they match any wooden table top?

They will be very similar but there are no two pieces of timber in the world that are exactly the same and as the chairs are made from solid European Beechwood it makes sense that no two will be absolutely identical when the wood is used to produce the chairs. This is a characteristic of the Classic Bentwood Chairs and is what gives this style of furniture individual character from item to item.
