How high is a standard bar stool?

Anywhere between 70cm and 80cm is fairly typical of a bar stool. As bar stool at the shorter end of the scale would be something like our Brass Rail style stool, or at the other end of the scale the Tall Boston with upholstered seat comes in 80cm. The top style you choose can make a bit of a different too so if you need a lower stool consider a button stool top rather than a piped stool top for example.

Are all the Tall Stools the same height?

The stool heights can vary and you can view the height of each stool when you click on the product. The stools are all pretty standard height for a bar or poseur table but it’s worth measuring any existing tables or the bar to double check leg space will be sufficient!

What size are the stool tops for your bar stools?

The piped and button top are both 35.5cm diameter.

What is the thickness of the stools tops?

With a durable 18mm thick upholstery board, the piped top is generous 1.5 inches thick in total; made up of 10 pound recon foam and half an inch high density topper for extra comfort. The button top is more of a dome shape because it is pulled over and secured rather than the standard piped top which his sewn. The foam on the button stool top is slightly less at 1 inch and a quarter thick. But still offers a really comfortable bar stool and contract grade upholstery.

Do you offer chairs to match the stools?

Yes, some of our stools have matching chairs in exactly the same style and others have a chair design that compliments the style of the stool and partners well with it but may be slightly different. Most of out stools with backs have an exact match in a standard dining height chair and the more traditional stools such as our Colonial Stools can either be paired with the Tudor style or a slightly different style in the traditional range such as the Mates or Captains Chairs.

Don’t worry if your frames are in perfectly good condition and you are just looking to replace the stools tops! We sell the tops only and with prices starting from just £8.00 it’s a great way to revamp your pub or bar interior on a budget!
