The Church of St. Nicolas is a beautiful local village church located in Downderry. The church is also used by the school and for many community events, creating a need for chairs which are easy to move and stack regularly.
Speaking to Sandra who sourced the new furniture, we learnt that the chairs were in fact purchased in a wonderful and unique way. Using a crowdfunding platform, Sandra and her partner asked people to donate a chair for the church instead of giving a traditional wedding gift.
‘The previous chairs were old and heavy, so moving and placing them regularly was a challenge’ explains Sandra. When it came to choosing a supplier for the chairs, Trent Furniture was selected thanks to Sandra’s prior experience of our furniture. ‘The local village hall had these chairs and we knew how comfortable, easy to manoeuvre and keep clean they were’.
The chairs chosen were Trent Furniture’s Oxford Steel Stacking Chair with a Gold Frame. These chairs stack securely to allow extra space in a multi-functional venue like the Church of St. Nicolas. Paired with a trolley for easy transport, the Oxford chairs are easy to place and pack away as needed.
Sandra opted for a rich red flatweave upholstery which complements the gold frame and fits perfectly with the aesthetic of the church. These chairs can also be upholstered in a range of colours and patterns by our upholstery team so they can be personalised to match any venue.
