The Royal Jubilee made for an ideal time to invest in banqueting furniture, with street parties and events held throughout the country.
But it seems there may be something of a legacy to be found in the months since then, so it's not too late to add to your banqueting furniture if you're seeing a surge in interest.
According to the Wine and Spirit Trade Association, 'celebration' beverages have seen sales grow over the summer, coinciding with the Jubilee weekend and the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
Chief executive Miles Beale says: "The mood of the nation has been very positive over the summer ... so it's perhaps not surprising to see an increase in sales of those products associated with celebration."
The products in question are also typically associated with garden parties and banquets - including gin, which gained 2% in terms of sales this summer, and sparkling wine, up by 5% in off-premises sales.
Further gains may be seen in future months, as the July cut-off point for the latest report means much of the positive response to the events of London 2012 will not yet have filtered through into the figures.
And with many people looking for ways to kick the Olympic blues into touch, it might be the perfect time to stock up on banqueting furniture and host a few parties of your own.
