Stackable cafe furniture could help athletically minded restaurateurs to clear some space in their establishments for some important training, ahead of National Waiters Day.
On June 23rd, the National Waiters Race is due to take place at Brunswick Square, London, giving the capital's best serving staff the chance to show off their skills.
The British Hospitality Association says: "This will be more of a 'fun run' where runners will carry a tray and do two laps of Brunswick Square, and then sprint to the finish line."
Although the complete course will be no longer than 1km in total, those taking the race seriously are likely to want to do some training.
Stackable cafe furniture makes it easy for you to clear some space in your dining area for a few late-night laps once the last of your diners have gone home.
And if that sounds like too much of an indulgence, remember that with stackable furniture in place, you'll be able to clear some or all of your floor space any time you choose.
That can allow you to turn your dining area into a dancefloor on Friday and Saturday nights, if you stay open once all the food is served and become a bar instead.
Even if you never completely clear your chairs away, stackable furniture means you can put some of them into storage - for example, if you have a party booking that means rearranging your table layout.
For big party bookings, banqueting furniture can add a stylish touch to your dining environment, often coming with a metallic or brass finish, and decorative embellishments.
But whether you choose banqueting furniture, or conventional cafe furniture, National Waiters Day is an ideal opportunity to recognise the hard work put in by your serving staff.
The BHA says: "With nearly one million young people unemployed and a wealth of opportunities available, it is crucial, now more than ever, that this industry is shown to be an amazing opportunity to young people looking for a vibrant, successful and well-paid career."
For some though, the long-term career will be placed on the back-burner on June 23rd, as the main priority will be victory in the National Waiters Race.
