Choosing the right club furniture begins with one simple question - what type of club do you run?
A social club or similar members' club might need more of a pub or bar furniture set-up, whereas in a sports club you might want a relaxing reception area or lounge for post-session cool-offs.
Whatever type of club you run, there are good options open to you, including some very versatile types of club furniture if your venue is something of a jack of all trades.
Club bar furniture
If your venue serves alcohol, you're likely to want club bar furniture - and that will often be very similar to ordinary bar furniture you might see anywhere else.
The difference with a members-only club is that you might expect your members to feel a sense of shared ownership over your facilities.
As such, you can probably invest in some more luxurious bar furniture - upholstered stools, leather sofas and so on - with peace of mind that your patrons will treat it with respect.
Your budget may be a matter of greater confidence, thanks to the fact that you probably have membership fees coming in, and are not just reliant on customers walking through your doors on any given day.
And as a members' club, your guests might reasonably expect to feel a little more welcome and 'at home' than if they had simply walked in off the street, and more luxurious furniture helps you to achieve this too.
Sports club furniture
You might not think a sports club needs much furniture, but there are several areas where it is wise to invest in some pieces.
For example, your reception area is likely to serve as a meeting place for groups of friends, so make sure you have several comfortable chairs for people to sit in while they wait.
A lounge area with more seating can let people relax between games or work-outs, or simply cool down after exercise.
And it's also typical to have a good amount of stackable seating in a store cupboard, allowing your sports hall to be used for seated events from hosting meetings and local school examinations, to amateur dramatics performances.
