December is often a good time to invest in club furniture, as many venues will be hosting parties and other social gatherings on top of their normal schedules in the run-up to Christmas.
However, as well as specialist banqueting furniture for Christmas meals and other such events, you might want to add to your stock of more general club furniture.
That is because, as confidence returns among consumers, analyst Mintel predicts that the leisure sector could be set to benefit - even moreso than retail as the end of the year approaches.
Richard Perks, director of retail research at Mintel, says: "Leisure spending has been cut much harder than retail spending [during the recession] and Mintel's tracker research strongly indicates that consumers most want to spend more on leisure."
This, he adds, suggests that leisure could outperform retail and household goods in the months to come.
For club owners and operators, that could make November and December 2012 the perfect time to install new and extra club furniture, to accommodate any rush.
And of course, for those with fitness facilities, the increase in patronage is likely to continue into the new year - for a while at least - as resolution-makers resolve to get themselves into shape.
