Pub furniture will be taking the strain of an extra few hours' work this June, as the Home Office has extended licensing hours to allow drinkers nationwide to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Home Office Minister Lord Henley says: "The Queen's Diamond Jubilee is a time of national celebration and people up and down the country will want to join in the festivities."
In order to make sure they can do this, licence-holding premises have been told that they are allowed to stay open until 1am on the Friday and Saturday nights of the Jubilee weekend at the beginning of June.
Official closing times for drinks and entertainment now stand at 1am on the mornings of Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd.
The news means pub furniture across the country will be subjected to an extra few hours of frivolity this June - which makes it the ideal time to refresh any old sets of furniture that might not take the strain.
Our pub furniture ranges from traditional wooden chairs, stools and tables, to modern metal and chrome alternatives that are durable, stylish and can work equally well outside.
So if you want to make sure you've got plenty of beer garden furniture for the Jubilee weekend, or you simply need to refresh your indoor chairs and tables, now is the perfect time to do so.
