All Stools

All of our stools are manufactured to the highest standards and comprise of exceptionally strong joints and solid wooden or metal frames for great durability and longevity in a contract environment. Choose from a wide range of styles at low prices from Trent Furniture for your new bar stools!

Our collection of bar stools incorporates traditional, modern both familiar and contemporary styles. The Tall Brass Rail Stool, Colonial Bar Stool, Small Wooden Bar Stool, Cast Iron Colebrookdale Stool and Wooden Shaker Stools are just some of the most popular styles we supply but there are many more on offer from Trent Furniture.

Wooden pub stools with their traditional turned leg and attractive wood finish have always been popular combined with other pub and bar furniture because they offer inexpensive seating and allow you to maximise potential space and provide extra seating as they take up less space than regular bar chairs.  Opting for an upholstered stool top raises the style stakes and level of comfort in a simple yet effective way.  Choose from our wide range of upholstery fabrics including tweed, dralon, flatweave and faux leather. We stock a wide range of fabrics as standard or can order specific fabrics in by request, as we have our own in house upholstery team it means we can offer a greater selection of fabrics at more competitive prices and with faster delivery times than many other suppliers.

All of our wooden bar stools are manufactured to the highest standards and comprise of exceptionally strong joints which are glued as well as screwed to increase longevity and durability. These wooden stool frames are available in three wood colours – dark oak, walnut and light oak so you can select the colour that best suits your room’s interior. For a more modern look than the traditional turned leg stools, we offer the shaker stool with its clean lines and block legs. These can be supplied with either a padded stool top or a hard seat and are available in both a short and a tall version which means you can achieve a uniform look across all seating if required.

We also stock a wide range of wooden and metal stools with back rests. Tall bar stools with backrests make a great choice if being used at a bar but also combined with stand-alone poseur tables as it allows your customers to enjoy the experience of high bar seating but with added comfort and support. Take a look at our Boston, Washington, Squareback ranges for some of our most popular bar stools or the equally as popular but more traditional tall captains bar chairs. These stools look particularly effective when combined with our matching side chairs from the restaurant furniture range but also fit in perfectly with our pub, bar or café furniture too.

If wood isn’t what you are looking for, we also stock some metal and cast iron bar stools which might be of more appeal. The small cast iron stools known as the colebrookdale design offer unrivalled durability and being considerably heavier than the wooden versions they are also incredible sturdy. These stools are available with upholstered tops only so please contact the sales team if you would like to see swatches of fabrics on offer.

In order to guarantee the high quality and durability of our stools, tables and chairs we have had samples from each of the categories independently tested by the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA). How tall are the stools?

The stools vary from range to range but all the measurements can be found underneath the image of the stool on our website.

What is the thickness of the stools tops?

The piped and button top are both 35.5cm diameter and have an 18mm thick board. The piped top is 1.5 inches thick with 10 pound recon foam and half an inch high density topper. The button top is more of a dome style which is pulled over and the foam on this is 1 inch and a quarter thick. Both offer great comfort but the piped top adds a little extra height.

Do you do matching Small and Tall Stools?

Most of our Tall bar Stools have a matching low versions of the stool or a dining height chair which compliments it.

What is the maximum weight your stools will take?

We don’t have a maximum weight limit for our furniture. What we can guarantee is that our products have been designed for contract use, we have been supplying stools to pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants for over 60 years and you can be assured that over the years the our customers have continued to be happy with the quality and strength they provide. Many of our products are tested by FIRA and certified suitable for commercial environments.

Do you do package deals on stools and bar furniture?

Our prices are very competitive but occasionally we can offer further discounts or stools may be in the sale or special offer pages of our website. We also offer furniture packages that are excellent value for money and can give you an idea of what works well together if you aren’t sure!

Can I choose what fabric I have?

As we upholster most of our products to order, it means that they can be supplied in any of our fabrics. Can’t find a fabric you like? Then you can send the fabric you us or specify a fabric you would like us to order in. Most of our upholstery is done here in the UK at our factory in the East Midlands so that we can offer you the widest range of choice on colours and materials for your stools. There are a couple of exceptions where we aren’t able to offer this, for example those that are fully pre-upholstered such as the Verona and American Diner Stools are only available in the colours shown online.

Will your stools be ok for my breakfast bar or kitchen?

All of our products are designed for contract use in pubs, clubs and bars and not for homes so please bear this in mind if you are looking to purchase stools for your home. Also-kitchens worktops and islands are lower than a standard pub bar so it is likely that they won’t be quite the right height for this. Our stools are at a height to suit sitting at a bar or to be used as stools for poseur tables. However, all of our measurements can be found on the product details and they do differ in height from range to range and also depending on whether you opt for an upholstered stool top or a plain wooden stool top.
